Artist profile
A photographic artist based in Nottingham who trained as a painter. Exhibited widely in the UK and Europe including Solo Exhibitions: TR03-05. Digital prints of Trams and the City. About my work
A great deal of my work is involved in different notions of describing and representing a sense of place, in many cases this involves a displacement of that place/space and are abstract and ambiguous.
I use both old and new technologies to create images that could form a link between art practice and the development of art in the public realm. Amalgamating the work may be either a) website images and/or b) digital prints/ light boxes as installations/exhibitions in public spaces. The photo works are not to simply document or decribe but to convey a sense a sense of the physicality of light and space, the relationship beteen people and places, movement, colour and interaction.
