Artist profile
Over the last four years Julia’s work has concentrated on exploring and developing inspirational ideas drawn from nature and plant life. Since graduating in 2003 with a degree in Three Dimensional Design from Manchester Metropolitan University her work has blossomed into new and experimental pieces.
This passion to find and express her ideas through art began at a young age and has continued and grown into her current artistic practice today.
Now living and working from her small Oxford based studio, Julia’s unique and individual work is becoming increasingly popular in the UK and abroad.

About my work
Inspirational natural elements are transformed to create these exciting and playful ceramic pieces.
They are captured, arranged and contained within neutral spaces, to preserve their intricate and unique beauty.
I work mainly in ceramic, hand mixing many of the colours to create exciting combinations.
My two dimensional pieces continue to develop alongside my ceramic work in acrylic and oil.
