Artist profile
Born in Cheshire and now living in Shropshire Natalie graduated from the University of Central Lancashire and later specialised in Stage Set design at the Welsh Collage of Music and Drama in Cardiff.
In the last few years she has been working on a series of intricate flower portraits, and has had a number of well recieved exhibitions at The Wet Paint Gallery: Cirencester, The Petit Blanc Restaurant: Cheltenham. Gallery 24 in Cork Street London and various local galleries. She has also been commissionedto produce a set of six cards and a 2007 calender for Medici Cards.

About my work
Natalie's paintings create an impact of emotion and atmosphere. A single flower is given dramatic scale that gives forcefulness to the most delicate subjects.
Her work is often described as photorealistic but her intrest is more with colour and richness of texture. These paintings are reminiscent of the strong images of flowers by early 20th Century American Artist Georgia O'Keefe and Karl Blossfeldt.#The scale of her work is an impotant feature providing a fresh view of a common subject.
