Artist profile
I was born and brought up in Oxford and now live in East London with my husband and daughter. I completed a BA in Fine Art (2:1) at Sir John Cass Dept of Art, London Metropolitan University in June 2004. Since then I have had work selected for exhibition by the Royal Institute of Oil Painters and the Chelsea Art Society. I have had work included in exhibitions at Menier Gallery (Chocolate Factory), Geffrye Museum, Gallery @ Oxo Tower, Hackney Museum, Stark Gallery, Portico Gallery and Lauderdale House.

About my work
I paint in oils on canvas. The inspiration for my work comes from nature. I work form photographs that i take myself so that all the images are completely unique. My paintings are highly realisitc, however they depict natural elements such as leaves flowers, stones etc in a contemporary way. The subject matter is either greatly enlarged or depicted from a non-traditional view point. The effect created is one of a heightened reality.
